Target Information

Canine IL-10 (interleukin-10) is a significant immune regulatory cytokine with roles in immune response. New genetic variations of the IL10 gene have been discovered, recently impacting our understanding of canine health. Variations in IL-10 expression have been associated with benign and malignant mammary tumors in dogs. Additionally, significant alterations in IL-10, along with other cytokines, have been found in response to the Leishmania braziliensis antigens plus saponin (LBSap) vaccine. It is interesting to note that the IL-10 possesses a cytokine activity as its specific function.
