Target Information
Canine Proteasome Activator Complex Subunit 3 (PSME3), also known as PA28γ or REG-gamma, is a key component of the 11S regulator complex of the proteasome. It forms a homohexameric ring and activates the trypsin-like catalytic subunit of the proteasome while inhibiting other subunits. PSME3 is involved in protein degradation, cell cycle regulation, and DNA damage response by facilitating the MDM2-p53 interaction. This protein is highly conserved across species, with canine PSME3 showing strong homology to human and other mammalian orthologs.
