Target Information
Cluster of differentiation 170 (CD170), also known as Sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin 5 (SIGLEC-5) is abacterial ligand that can reduce the production of cytokines and cytolytic molecules by activated primary T cells in a Siglec-5 dependent manner. Swine CD170 is expressed on myeloid cells and their precursors, and at low levels on plasmacytoid dendritic cells. CD170 plays an important role in mediating inhibitory signaling in the absence of immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif phosphorylation.
