Target Information

Electron Transfer Flavoprotein-ubiquinone Oxidoreductase, Mitochondrial is encoded by the ETFDH gene in pigs. It is a mitochondrial protein localized in the inner membrane that plays a key role in the electron transfer system. ETFDH catalyzes the transfer of electrons from ETF to ubiquinone, reducing it to ubiquinol. It facilitates the transfer of electrons from electron-transferring flavoprotein (ETF) in the mitochondrial matrix to the ubiquinone pool in the inner mitochondrial membrane. It is associated with multiple acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency.
