Target Information

Vanillylmandelic acid (VMA) is an end-stage metabolite of the catecholamines epinephrine and norepinephrine. It is produced via intermediary metabolites during the breakdown of catecholamines. These catecholamines are hormones produced by the adrenal glands (located on top of the kidneys) during times of physical or emotional stress. Research has shown that the F/B ratio of chicken feces VMA was approximately 1: 3.
