Target Information

Kynurenine 3-Monooxygenase is an enzyme involved in the kynurenine pathway, which metabolizes the essential amino acid tryptophan. It is encoded by the KMO gene in pigs. KMO is a nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate-dependent enzyme. It plays a very important role on the way of tryptophan catabolism through the kynurenine pathway and has a definite regulatory effect on peripheral inflammation and central nervous system diseases.
