Target Information

MER proto-oncogene tyrosine kinase, also known as c-mer proto-oncogene tyrosine kinase, is encoded by the MERTK gene in pigs. Research has shown that MERTK is a classical swine fever virus entry factor that synergistically dampens innate immune responses in PK-15 cells and is also involved in bovine viral diarrhea virus infection.
