Target Information
Platelet Derived Growth Factor Subunit B is encoded by the PDGFB gene in pigs. PDGF-B is a dimeric glycoprotein composed of two subunits: PDGF-BB and PDGF-AB. PDGF-B is a potent mitogen for cells of mesenchymal origin, including: fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells, and glial cells. PDGFB is a protein that acts as a mitogen and chemoattractant for smooth muscle cells in vitro.
