Target Information

Ras-related Protein Rab-14 (RAB14), also known as senescence marker protein 30 (SMP30), is a calcium-binding protein encoded by the RAB14 gene in pigs. RAB14 is involved in membrane trafficking between the Golgi complex and endosomes during early embryonic development. Rab14 is a small GTPase which can regulate the trafficking of ceramide from endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi apparatus and facilitates classical Swine Fever Virus assembly.
