Target Information

Tight junction protein 1, also known as ZO-1, is encoded by the DLAT gene in pigs. In IPEC-J2 cells, research showed that LPS could induce tight junction damage by increasing reactive oxygen species production and lactate dehydrogenase release and decreasing the mRNA expression of tight junction proteins related genes (Tjp1, Occludin and Claudin-1), while L-theanine reversed these effects.

Target/Biomarker Porcine TJP1
Target Synonym tight junction protein 1; zo1; tight junction protein ZO-1; zonula occludens 1
Gene ID 100736682
UniProt ID I3L5H6
