Target Information

Bovine lactoferrin (LTF) is an iron-binding glycoprotein belonging to the transferrin family, found in high concentrations in cow's milk and colostrum. It is a multifunctional protein with a wide range of biological activities, including antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, antioxidant, and anticancer properties. As a key component of the innate immune system, lactoferrin links innate and adaptive immune responses by regulating the availability of iron, which is essential for microbial growth.
