Target Information

Interleukin 12A (IL-12A) is a subunit of a cytokine which heterodimerizes with IL12B to form the IL-12 cytokine or with EBI3/IL27B to form the IL-35 cytokine. IL-12A is present in swine lymphoid tissues including inguinal and mesenteric lymph nodes, Peyer's patches, spleen and thymus. IL-12 is important in the regulation of both innate and antigen-specific immunity through its stimulatory effects on NK cells and cytotoxic lymphocytes.
