Target Information
Prothrombin fragment 1+2 (F1+2), also known as prothrombin fragment 1.2 (F1.2), is a polypeptide fragment derived from prothrombin (factor II) during its in vivo conversion into thrombin (factor IIa) by the enzyme complex prothrombinase (consisting of factor Xa and factor Va). The molecular weight of F1+2 ranges from approximately 41 to 43 kDa. The function of F1+2 in rabbits is mainly reflected in the following aspects: as a marker of activation of the coagulation system, reflecting the degree of activation of thrombospondin; closely related to anticoagulation therapy, disease state and inflammatory response; synergistic changes with other coagulation markers; and potential diagnostic value.
