Target Information

Lyme borreliosis, a bacterial illness transmitted by ticks, impacts both humans and various animals, including dogs, horses, and potentially cats. This disease is triggered by Borrelia burgdorferi, a species within the spirochete class of the Borrelia genus. In animals that are experimentally infected with Lyme disease spirochetes, antibodies against borrelial Erp lipoproteins are reliably produced within the initial 4 weeks of infection. ErpN is also known as OspE.
