Target Information

Klebsiella species are well-recognized as rod-shaped, gram-negative, non-motile, lactose-fermenting, and facultatively anaerobic bacteria within the Enterobacteriaceae family. Klebsiella pneumoniae is an opportunistic pathogen linked to various complex clinical infections in both humans and animals. Maltoporin is involved in the transport of maltose and maltodextrins. It does not act as a receptor for phages.
