Target Information
Bone morphogenetic protein 3 (BMP3) is encoded by the BMP3 gene in cattle. Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) belong to the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) superfamily. Many BMPs are produced in bone and exhibit osteogenic activity, indicating their potential role as determinants of bone mass.
