Target Information
The bovine cellular tumor antigen p53 (TP53) is a critical tumor suppressor protein in cattle, often referred to as the "Guardian of the Genome." It plays a key role in maintaining genomic stability and regulating the cell cycle. When cells experience DNA damage or other stress signals, TP53 is activated to regulate the expression of numerous downstream genes, promoting cell cycle arrest, DNA repair, or apoptosis. Additionally, TP53 is frequently mutated in bovine urinary bladder tumors, and its dysfunction is closely associated with tumor development.
