Target Information
Bovine pantetheinase is an enzyme that belongs to the pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme family and is involved in the metabolism of pantetheine, a key component of coenzyme A (CoA). It catalyzes the hydrolysis of pantetheine to cysteamine and dephospho-CoA, playing a role in the synthesis and recycling of CoA, which is essential for various biochemical pathways, including fatty acid synthesis and energy metabolism. In cattle, Pantetheinase contributes to maintaining metabolic homeostasis and may have implications in health and disease states related to energy metabolism.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with dry ice. It is recommended to aliquot as needed and store at -80°C upon receipt. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4°C for 1 week, at < -80°C for 12 months. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
