Target Information

Bovine S100 Calcium Binding Protein B (S100B) is a member of the S100 protein family, known for its calcium binding affinity. In Bovines, S100B is predominantly found in the central nervous system, particularly in astrocytes. It plays a multifaceted role in cellular processes such as calcium homeostasis, cell survival, and cell differentiation. Additionally, it has been implicated in the response to neural distress and may serve as a biomarker for neural damage or distress in cattle.
