Target Information
Canine Cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte Protein 4 (CD152), also known as CTLA-4, is a crucial immune checkpoint receptor that negatively regulates T cell activation in dogs. It is expressed on activated T cells and regulatory T cells (Tregs) and binds to CD80/CD86 on antigen-presenting cells, delivering inhibitory signals to dampen immune responses. In veterinary medicine, CD152 is targeted in cancer immunotherapy to enhance antitumor immunity by blocking its inhibitory function. Studies have shown that blocking CD152 can promote T cell proliferation and effector function, leading to improved outcomes in canine cancer models.
