Target Information
Classical swine fever (CSF), also known as hog cholera or pig plague (from the German term Schweinepest), is an extremely contagious disease affecting swine. One of the viral proteins, envelope glycoprotein E2, may interact with the host protein TRX2. It may also bind to the host receptor ADAM17 through its metalloproteinase domain, which likely facilitates the virus's entry into the host cell.
