Target Information

Feline tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 6 (FASLG) is a cytokine that binds to the TNFRSF6/FAS receptor, initiating apoptosis in target cells. In cats, FASLG plays a role in cytotoxic T-cell and natural killer cell-mediated apoptosis, contributing to immune system regulation. It also induces activation-induced cell death (AICD) in antigen-activated T-cells, helping terminate immune responses. FASLG is involved in peripheral tolerance and can influence tumor progression by either promoting apoptosis or supporting tumor immune evasion.
