Target Information
The Influenza H4N6 subtype is a type of avian influenza virus (AIV). Avian H4 influenza A viruses have been circulating since at least 1956, marked by the isolation of an H4N6 virus from a duck. These viruses are categorized into two well-supported lineages: North American and Eurasian. Neuraminidase catalyzes the removal of terminal sialic acid residues from viral and cellular glycoconjugates.
