Target Information
Mycoplasmopsis Synoviae FMN-dependent NADH:Quinone Oxidoreductase (azoR) is an enzyme with quinone reductase and azoreductase activities. In veterinary medicine, this protein has strong immunogenicity and can react with sera positive for various Mycoplasma synoviae isolates, but not with other related pathogens such as Mycoplasma gallisepticum. Studies have shown that azoR can bind to extracellular matrix proteins (e.g., fibronectin and plasminogen) and plays an important role in pathogen cytoadhesion and pathogenesis. Additionally, azoR has potential as a diagnostic antigen and a vaccine candidate.
