Target Information

The porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) spike glycoprotein (S) can infect pigs. In the veterinary field, the S protein is a key component for viral entry into host cells, binding to host cell receptors and promoting membrane fusion. Additionally, the S protein is an important target for vaccine development, inducing neutralizing antibodies in the host to provide immune protection.
