Target Information
Swine bone morphogenetic protein 2 (BMP2) is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily, known for its pleiotropic effects. BMP2 is crucial in embryonic development, particularly in the regulation of growth, differentiation, and apoptosis in various tissues such as cartilage, bone, blood vessels, liver, lung, kidney, heart, and neurons. It influences mesenchymal cell activities, including adipogenesis, myogenesis, chondrogenesis, and osteogenesis, playing a critical role in skeletal repair and regeneration processes.
