Target Information
Swine interleukin 2 receptor gamma (IL2RG) is a crucial component of the high-affinity interleukin-2 receptor (IL-2R) and is involved in the signaling pathways that regulate T cell activation, proliferation, and immune response. It is part of the common gamma chain (γc) shared by several cytokine receptors, including IL-2, IL-4, IL-7, IL-9, IL-15, and IL-21 receptors. In swine, IL2RG mutations can lead to severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), highlighting its importance in immune function.
