Target Information
Swine interleukin-6 receptor subunit alpha (IL6R) is a protein that binds to Interleukin-6, a cytokine crucial for immune response and inflammation. It plays a vital role in signal transduction, regulating the body's reaction to injury and infections. In veterinary medicine, IL6R is used to assess inflammatory conditions and monitor disease progression in pigs, guiding treatment strategies.
