Target Information

The p35 antigen of Toxoplasma gondii (also known as SAG1 related sequences 3, SRS3) is an important surface antigen of tachyzoites, with a molecular weight of about 35 kDa. In veterinary medicine, the p35 antigen is used to develop diagnostic reagents and vaccines. Studies have shown that recombinant p35 protein has high specificity in detecting IgM antibodies for acute toxoplasmosis, aiding in the diagnosis of acute infections. Additionally, the p35 antigen can be used to detect IgG antibodies in the serum of animals infected with T. gondii, helping to differentiate between recent and past infections. Although the immunogenicity of p35 is weaker than that of P30, it plays an irreplaceable role in the diagnosis of toxoplasmosis.
