Target Information
Ephrin-B2a, encoded by the efnb2a gene in zebrafish, acts as a cell surface transmembrane ligand for Eph receptors, a family of receptor tyrosine kinases essential for migration, repulsion, and adhesion during neuronal, vascular, and epithelial development. It engages in promiscuous binding with Eph receptors on adjacent cells, enabling contact-dependent bidirectional signaling among neighboring cells.
