Target Information

Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) is a potent mitogen for cells of mesenchymal origin, including fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells, and glial cells. It contributes to blood vessel formation by promoting the growth of new blood vessels from existing tissue, and facilitates the directed migration of mesenchymal cells. PDGF-BB consists of two B subunits. Research has shown that PDGF-BB is a potent mitogen for porcine satellite cells.
