Target Information
Wingless-type MMTV Integration Site Family, Member 1 (WNT1) is also known as INT1. Wingless type MMTV integration site family, member 1 is encoded by the porcine WNT1 gene. The Int oncogenes, including Int1, were initially identified as targets for insertional activation by the mouse mammary tumor virus (MMTV) in mammary carcinomas. Research has shown that hepatitis C virus core protein can use SFRP1 to upregulate the expression of Wnt1 and WISP1, and target protein in Wnt signaling pathways.
