Target Information

Glutaredoxin-3 (GLRX3), also known as thiomorpholine-carboxylate dehydrogenase, is a multifaceted protein with intriguing functions. GLRX3 acts as a glutathione-disulfide oxidoreductase, participating in cellular redox balance. It reduces low molecular weight disulfides and proteins. Bovine Glutaredoxin-3 is encoded by the GLRX3 gene in cattle. This gene is associated with feeding behavior and growth in pigs, and it was also located within the Angus DMI QTL regions.

Target/Biomarker Bovine GLRX3
Target Synonym glutaredoxin 3; PICOT; TXNL2; glutaredoxin-3; PKC-interacting cousin of thioredoxin; thioredoxin-like protein 2
Gene ID 511528
UniProt ID Q58DA7
