Target Information

Bovine Cofilin-1 is encoded by the CFL1 gene in cattle. Cofilin-1 belongs to the ADF/cofilin family. It is a widely distributed intracellular actin-modulating protein. It plays a role in the translocation of the actin-cofilin complex from the cytoplasm to the nucleus. Previous studies have shown that the CFL1 and CFL2 genes are specifically expressed in different growth and developmental stages of bovine muscle and show opposite expression patterns during muscle cell differentiation.
