Specifications
Target Information
Collectin of 43 kDa (CL-43) is a collectin protein that acts as an antigen recognition protein. Collectins (collagen-containing C-type lectins) are a part of the innate immune system. They form a family of collagenous Ca2+-dependent defense lectins, which are found in animals. Collectin of 43 kDa is encoded by the CL43 gene in bovine. CL-43 consists of a single polypeptide chain with an apparent molecular mass of 43 kDa on SDS-PAGE. There is a strong structural similarity between CL-43, conglutinin and SP-D.
