Target Information
Factor XI (FXI), also known as plasma thromboplastin antecedent, is the zymogen form of factor XIa. It is one of the enzymes involved in the coagulation cascade. Factor XI (FXI) is produced by the liver and circulates as a homo-dimer in its inactive form. Bovine Coagulation Factor XI is encoded by the F11 gene in cattle. It is a plasma serine protease involved in the early activation of the intrinsic blood coagulation cascade.
