Target Information
Proteasome subunit beta type-9 (PSMB9), also known as 20S proteasome subunit beta-1, is a protein encoded by the PSMB9 gene in cattle. It is a non-catalytic component of the 20S core proteasome complex involved in the proteolytic degradation of most intracellular proteins. The proteasome plays numerous essential roles within the cell by associating with different regulatory particles. It may have function of enabling threonine-type endopeptidase activity and is involved in protein catabolic process.
