Target Information
Type I collagen is a collagen consisting of around 90% of the body's total collagen in vertebrates. It is a major component of connective tissues, such as skin, bones, tendons, and ligaments. Type I collagen is produced by cells called fibroblasts. Natural collagen is easily available from animal tissues such as bones. Over time, collagen fibers naturally break down.
