Target Information
Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V Member 5 is encoded by the TRPV5 gene in cattle. It is a calcium channel protein. The TRPV5 gene is part of the transient receptor family and belongs to the TRPV subfamily. The TRPV5 protein, a calcium-selective channel encoded by this gene, features six transmembrane-spanning domains, several possible phosphorylation sites, an N-linked glycosylation site, and five ANK repeats. This protein can form homotetramers or heterotetramers and is activated when internal calcium levels are low.
