Target Information
Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH), also called Müllerian inhibiting substance or factor, is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta superfamily. It is a glycoprotein secreted by Sertoli cells in males and by granulosa cells in females. It has functions in suppressing the development of Müllerian ducts during embryogenesis in males. Serum AMH may have diagnostic potential in dogs with disorders of sex development (DSD).
