Target Information

Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 1 Beta, also known as CCL4, is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine subfamily. It is secreted in response to mitogenic signals and antigens, acting as a chemoattractant for natural killer cells, monocytes, and various other immune cells to sites of inflammation or tissue damage. Although there is no direct reference to MIP1B function in rabbits in the evidence, it can be hypothesized that, as mammals, rabbits have an immune system similar to that of humans and other mammals, and may also be regulated by MIP1B.
