Target Information
Interleukin 12A, encoded by the goat gene IL12A, is a crucial cytokine. IL12A forms a disulfide-linked heterodimer with another subunit called IL-12 p40 (IL12B). It plays a significant role in orchestrating the maturation of CD4+ T cells into Th1 cells. Additionally, it stimulates the production of IFNG (interferon-gamma) in response to intracellular parasites. Notably, IL12A represents the alpha chain of the IL12 cytokine.
