Target Information

Transforming Growth Factor Beta 3 is encoded by the TGFb3 gene in horses. TGFβ-3 is a multifunctional cytokine involved in various cellular processes. It is a member of the TGFβ-superfamily and represents a typical example of a multifunctional and context-sensitively acting growth factor. It has been observed to be present during tendon tissue morphogenesis as well as to be actively involved and highly regulated during tendon healing.
