Target Information

Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) is a lipid molecule that plays a crucial role in various physiological processes. It acts as a potent mediator of inflammation, pain, and fever, and it also contributes to the regulation of blood pressure, immune responses, and reproductive functions. In a feline model, it has been suggetsed that PGE2 facilitates the development of the gastric slow wave by an action on the muscle that does not involve cholinergic or adrenergic mechanism.
