Interleukin 12B is encoded by the IL12B gene in goats. It is a subunit of IL12, which is a cytokine that plays a critical role in the regulation of immune responses. Interleukin-12 (IL-12) is a cytokine produced naturally by various immune cells, including dendritic cells, macrophages, neutrophils, and B-lymphoblastoid cells in response to antigenic stimulation. This 12B subunit has three beta sheet domains.
