Mouse Anti-Porcine Interleukin 5 (IL5) Monoclonal Antibody

Porcine interleukin 5 (IL-5) is a cytokine that significantly influences the immune response, particularly in the development and activation of eosinophils, which are key players in allergic reactions and defense against parasites. IL-5 promotes the growth, differentiation, and activation of eosinophils, and is essential for the production of eosinophilia. It also acts on B cells, enhancing their proliferation and differentiation into antibody-secreting cells. IL-5 signals through a specific receptor composed of an alpha chain unique to IL-5 and a beta chain shared with other cytokine receptors, influencing both innate and acquired immunity. The cytokine is produced by various cells, including T cells and mast cells, and its actions are transduced through JAK-STAT, Btk, and Ras/Raf-ERK signaling pathways.
