Porcine ras-related protein ral-A isoform X1 (pRalA-X1) is a member of the Ras superfamily of small GTPases, which are molecular switches involved in a variety of cellular processes in pigs. RalA, specifically, plays a significant role in regulating cell growth, survival, and actin cytoskeleton rearrangements, which are essential for processes such as cell migration and vesicle trafficking. As an isoform of RalA, pRalA-X1 may possess unique functions or regulatory properties compared to other Ral proteins.
