Target Information
Cluster of differentiation 61 (CD61), also known as Integrin beta-3 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ITGB3 gene. CD61 is a cluster of differentiation found on thrombocytes. CD61 functions in thrombus formation by acting as a binding receptor for fibrinogen, fibronectin, plasminogen, prothrombin, von Willebrand factor, and other prothrombotic molecules. Swine CD6 is critical for porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus infection.
