Target Information

Chicken Alpha Actinin 2 (ACTN2) is a key cytoskeletal protein that cross-links actin filaments, providing structural support and stability to muscle cells. In chickens, ACTN2 is highly conserved and shares significant sequence similarity with human ACTN2, with a 97% match. It is particularly abundant in fast-twitch muscle fibers and plays a crucial role in muscle contraction and maintaining the structural integrity of muscle tissue.
