Target Information
Transmissible gastroenteritis coronavirus (TGEV) is a highly contagious virus that primarily affects pigs, causing a severe and often fatal disease known as transmissible gastroenteritis. The impact of TGEV on sensitive animals, particularly pigs, is substantial, leading to significant economic losses in the swine industry due to high mortality rates in piglets and decreased growth rates in surviving animals.
